Allegheny General Hospital respects the medical, emotional and spiritual needs of all patients.

In keeping with this commitment, The Center for Bloodless Medicine and Surgery was established in 1998. The Center protects the rights of patients who request that their medical care be managed without the use of blood transfusions.

Our ultimate goal is to assist Allegheny General in respecting the patients’ wishes while assuring that our patients get the best possible care.

To this end, The Center for Bloodless Medicine and Surgery provides educational materials and programs to promote Bloodless Medicine and Surgery. Your donations support these efforts.
